Spalding 72307 Basketaball Hoop worth EVERY penny!! : Spalding 72307PR Portable Basketball System with 52-Inch Acrylic Backboard
Hello, I purchased this Basketball hoop from Amazon when it was on sale, and just finished assemblying. It took some time( 4 hours-I work slow), did it all myself with some help from my 12 year old son.
The directions are perfect, not a problem, and I am not handy at all!
My advice is to ensure all 6" bolts go thru hole openings as directions state. That rubber mallet sure came in handy!
When assembling 3 pc poles, make sure you dont do on cement because you will ruin the bottom of pole when joing them.
This system is not flimsy, VERY STURDY, and the height adjustment is great. Quality parts too!
I wish I would of bought this a long time ago before wasting $75 every time on a disposable BB hoop system I bought at Target. This is a great investment. If you can get this for under $275.00, it would be an EXTREME buy.

Great portable system : Spalding 68454 Portable Basketball System - 54" Glass Backboard
Wow!! Surprised at how much we enjoy this portable basketball system. I read the reviews and most were positive but I was still suspect and was concerned about the assembly. Not only were the reviews that were favorable accurate but I assembled it with my 8 and 9 year old sons and it was easier than I thought and having their participation was a great father and sons experience. All of the parts were included. The labeling of bolts and screws might have been a little better but that maybe added five minutes to the work. The quality of the system for a portable is great. Much more stable than I thought it would be and the backboard is by far the best for a portable. If there were anything I would change to this product, it would be the hole for adding water or sand in the base. We chose sand as we live in a colder climate and feared freezing. There is only one hole which is very small and required a lot of effort to fill. This would have been much easier with water but since they provide sand as an option I would have thought they would have made the entry larger or added a second hole at a better location(the very end). Be warned that with the overall quality and glass backboard it is very heavy and does require two strong adults to move, but once in place it is very secure and stable. I strongly recommend this product and could not be happier.

This was a gift for someone that is very sports oriented, so it was perfect for a game room. Although he had to replace the sensor through the company the product is great and works very well. I was not sure how well this conversion kit was going to work. They were ordered to mount the two backboards, I also bought, on a wall for a full-length court inside my new building. The installation was easy and required just a few spacers (1/2 inch washers) to tighten up the movement. (I actually knew of the need for the washers from a previous review, Whomever you were...thanks for that insight). They got their first full workout over the 4th of July and were played hard. They work!!!
